Ormond School.—This school is announced to open on Monday next the sth of April. Education Rates.—Notice is given that all Education Rates remaining unpaid on the 22nd A pril will be recovered by process of law. Mrs. Boubke announces that she will be prepared to receive young ladies as boarders and day pupils during the ensuing quarter. Divine Services.—Sunday, 4th April. The Ven. Archdeacon Williams, at Ormond at 11 a.m,, and at Gisborne at 7p m. The Rev W. H. RootSt. Andrews’ Church Gisborne morning and evening at the usual hours, and at Matawhero in the afternoon at 2.30 p.m. Exgene Beda.—This celebrated one-legged gymnast, and athlete, will add to the novelties of our amusements to-morrow and Monday evenings, by giving some of his open air performances opposite the Masonic Hotel. The Music Hall is far too small for Mr. Beda’s purpose, whose mid-air evolutions require an extraordinary amount of room. The hour, 7 o’clock in the evening, may appear to be eccentric, but the success which has attended the same performances in other places, will, we doubt not, greet this artist to-night. The prices are to suit, the million. Valedictory. — Prior to Mr. Adair’s departure from Auckland recently, a party of friends—employees of Messrs McArthur Shera & Co., —entertained that gentleman at dinner, to bid him farewell, and wish him success in his new undertaking. Mr. Campbell took the chair and proposed Mr. and Mrs. Adair’s health to which Mr. Adair appreciatively replied. A presentation was also made, bearing the following inscription, which must be a gratifying proof of the mutual good feeling that exists—“ Presented to Mr. William Adair by his fellow employees in McArthur, Shera & Co.’s, on his leaving to commence business in Gisborne.”
