Wellington, February 4. At a sale of stock at the Hutt, cows realised from £3 15s to £7 10smixed store cattle, from £3 to £5 ; horses from £5 to £lB.

Christchurch, February 5. Market quotations, deliverable in Christchurch : —Wheat, from 3s to 3s 6d ; oats, from 2s 3d to 2s 9d ; barley, from 4s to 4s 3d ; flour, from £lO to £11; bran, £6 ; pollard, £6 ; sharps, £6 10s ; butter, 9d ; cheese 9d ; hams and bacon, Is to Is 2d. Several large shipments of cheese have taken place from the West Coast to Melbourne during the week. Dunedin, February 5. Brown and Sons report Very little doing. Milling wheat worth 5s to 5s 6d ; fowls feed wanted at from 3s 3d to 4s 3d ; oats offered more freely ; barley, malting, 5s to 5s 3d ; feed, owing to a decline in oats, not so much enquired fur, at 4s to 4s 3d ; flour, £l3 to £l3 15s; pollard, £6 10s; bran, £6 10s. One thousand cases “ dagger” stout, 9s; several transactions pending. Bass’ new ale, sold at Is lOd. The St. Marco’s cargo of Mauritius sugars sold at 15s lower. Wheat, a shade easier; maize, firm at 5s 9d.
