It should be known (s tys the Napier Telegraph) that a considerable number of Sydney £1 notes are now in circulot on in Napier, and that they are only worth 18s 6d. These notes require a shilling s’amp on them before they tan be legally negotiated in this colony, and the rate of discount on exchange is about 6d iu the pound.
