Auckland, January 23. Mr. Alfred Buckland reports: At the Haymarket, yesterday, fodder was in moderate supply, and sold at a higher price than for several weeks past. The prices obtained were : —Dairy cows, at calving, £7 10s to £lO ; forward in calf £5 5s to £3 6s; nine months old to yearling heifers, 25s to 50s; steers, 40s to 70s ; two-year-old heifers, 60s to 70s; steers 85s to 100 s ; grown cows 60s to 90s ; steers 110 s to 130 s; aged working bullocks, £7 to £7 10s; fat cattle, 22s 6d to 30s the 1001 ba; store lambs. 5s to 7s; fat lambs 9s to 12s; best quality 16s to 17s ea ‘h ; aged ewes, 5s to 12s; fat ewes 31; fat wethers, 3}d the lb: fat calves, six to ten weeks old, 30s to 50s each. London, January 15. The following produce telegrams have been received by the New Zealand Loan Mercantile Company, da ed London, 7th January : — Wool.—lhe next sales will commence on the 23rd February. Up to this date only 37,<>90 bales have arrived. There has been a little private inquiry, as the trade in the luanufaci uring districts is slightly better. Wheat.—New Zealand is worth 50s per 4S6lbs. Market quiet. Christchurch, January 23. The export prices f.o.b. are : New oats for immediate shipment 3s 61 to 3s 94. No new wheat is in the market as yet. Reports respecting the harvest continue very sat Flour is £l2 10s to £l3 10s; bran £6; sharps £6 10s.
