ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.

“ Nettie ” says she admires some of the pieces of poetry which appear in the columns of the Standard —particularly some signed “ H.S.”, —and especially noting those beginnieg “ I have dreamt that thou art fading,” and ** Remember me though rolling ocean.” “ Nettie ” also enquires—very timidly, of course- if they are the production of a gentleman in Gisborne, who is “ about to be married.” We make it a rule never to divulge the names of contributors —not even negatively ; but we may state, for “ Nettie’s” satisfaction, that “ H.S.’s” contributions are taken from an album written some 25 years ago when she “ was but a child.”
