TO CORRESPONDENTS.
We do not in any way wish to wound the susceptibilities of our numerous correspon-dents—-fair, and unfair ; but we must draw their attention to two indispensable conditions necessary to be observed in order to secure insertion of their contributions :—lst: Do not write on both sides of the paper; and 2nd : Do write legibly. Poetry (or rhyme lines) must be readably constructed, as we have the tastes of our readers to consider while we desire to gratify contributors. We did not wish to disappoint “ F.A.” this morning, but were compelled to so re-construct the measure of the lines (preserving, as closely as wc could, the original idea) as to almost take from their author the merit that, undoubtedly, belongs to them.
