PRESENTATION FIRING.
The fourth competition for the “ Daly” Cross, presented by Lieut. Daly to the Gjsborne Rifle Volunteers, took place at the butts on Saturday morning last, when Sub-Lieut. Nasmith was declared the winner for the second time. Mr. Nasmith has fought manfully for the prize, having been second in the scores on the two occasions of his defeat. The odds are now greatly in his favor that he will carry off the trophy once more to any other competitor doing so twice running. The weather was fine with a light breeze on Saturday, when the following scoring was made:— Sub-Lieut. Nasmith 91 Private Warren 89 Captain Winter ... ' . 82 Private Drummond ... A. 81 “ M‘Gowan 70 Sergt. Pulsford 62 Private Hartnett ... ' 62 Lieut. Daly A 61 Private Uren 56 Sergt. Stott a...,. 50
