PORT OF POVERTY BAY. ARRIVALS. NOVEMBER. 26—Rangatira, s.s. Capt., Lloyd, from Napier, with general cargo and the following passengers : — Messrs. Magill, Hunter, Moore, Hastie, Nan carrow, Miss Moon, Mrs. East and 5 children, DEPARTURES. NOVEMBER. 26 — Rangatira, s.s., Capt., Lloyd, for Napier and Wellington. Passengers: Messrs. Swan, Margetts, Mann, Nancarrow, Moore, Mrs. Burke, Mrs. Preece, Mr. and Mrs. Ingle and child, Mr. and Mrs. Parker, Miss Brewer, Miss Hargrave, Miss Best. We learn that the Rangatira will, in future, only make fortnightly trips to this port, and weekly to Napier from Wellington. The Opotiki is loading timber for Napier and will sail probably this evening. The Pretty Jane met with an accident on entering the river on Tuesday last, by which one of her planks started. The damage was found to be slight and the necessary repairs having been effected she steamed for Auckland at 8 o’clock last night.
The Hydaspes has been released from the quarantine ground. Arrived : At the Manakau, the Governor’s yacht Blanche with Sir James Eergusson and staff on board.
