COLONIAL PRIZE FIRING.
The following are the scores made by members of the Poverty Bay Militia and Foot. Volunteers on Monday last for the qualification of six district competitors, one of whom is to represent the three districts of Poverty Bay, Wairoa and Napier at the annual contest to be held at the Thames in Jannary next. As the minnimum scoring for a Colonial representative is placed at 83 points, most of our local arms will have to polish up a bit for the superior qualification. The Mounted Volunteers will fire on the Ist December next :—
Musical.—Mr. H. Cucksey announces that he has arrived from Auckland with a choice assortment of Music and Musical Instruments, which will bo on view for a few days at the Albion Hotel Show Booms.
