PORT OF POVERTY BAY. ARRIVALS. OCTOBER. 29 —Luna, p. 8,, Captain Fairchild, from Napier and Wellington. Passengers: Bishsp Williams, Mr-s, Williams, and several others DEPARTURES. OCTOBER. 28—Clara, cutter, Park, master, for Tologa Bay. Passengers: Messrs. Maher, Holford, and three natives. The Luna arrived in harbor on Thursday evening from Napier and Wellington ; she arrived at Napier on Sunday last with Sir Donald McLean, who has remained behind to pass some days in Hawke’s Bay. The Luna left for Tauranga last night having been detained to convey Judge Rogan to the North. Auckland October 25. The schooner Fiery Cross has arrived, -twenty-six days from Napier. Left on the 28th September, and had gales from the start. Wellington, October 24. The Government have received, per TaraTtia, a-telegram from the Agent-General, dated October 7, which advises the following immigrant ships as having sailed for New Zealand during the month of September : —Cospatrick, with 420 souls, for Auckland; Geraldine Paget, with 390, for Canterbury; Clarence, with >340, for Napier ; Carnatic, with 290, for Sfarfborough ; Crusader, with 370 for Canterbury; -Dilharce, with 470, for Auckland; Margaret Galbraith, with 130, for Otago ; and the Nelson, with 320, for Otage. Lyttelton, October 26.

Arrived, Gottenburg, from Hamburg, 113 flays out, with 137 immigrants. One death, and two births occurred on the passage. Port Chalmers, October 24. Arrived—Jessie Readman, from Glasgow, with 267 i statute adults ; all well. The whaling barque Splendid starts on her J first cruise to-morrow.

October 26. The ship Calypso has arrived, but she has not yet been towed in.
