POST OF POVERTY BAY. ARRIVALS. OCTOBER. Nfl DEPARTURES. OCTOBER. Nil Ki fully expect to see the Rangatira during the day, or early to-morrow morning. She would probably steam back to Wellington last week, in order to pick up her usual day here. Doubtless arrangements will be made to allow ‘her to return in time to catch the outward English mail boats. Should that be the case mails will close at Gisborne, for Europe and the Continent, via Suez ; for Europe and America, via San Francisco ; and for both Northern and Southern ports in New Zealand, shortly after her arrival. The ’Frisco boat leaves Napier on Friday, and the Suez boat leaves Wellington on Sunday next, the former carrying an Auckland mail. The Pretty Jane should also put in an appearance to day, and will proceed to Napier shortly after arrival.
