METEOROLOGICAL.
23 rd to 29th September.
From the cold S.W. gales and showers which noted the early part of last week, we seem to have suddenly sprung into mid-summer. Steadily from Thursday last has the wind clung to the West and N.W. points, bringing the usual clouds of dust before it, the temperature being hot and dry. On Monday night rain fell during some hours, and cooled the atmosphere considerably. Yesterday, however, the Nor’ Wester began again, and seems likely to continue.
