Gisborne, Friday, 18th September.

[Before W. K. Nesbitt, Esq., R.M.] TUTCHEN V. COOPEB. Bbeach of the peace. Defendant was charged with having used threatening and abusive language towards complainant, who stated that he was in bodily' fear, and requested the protection of the Court. Defendant was ordered to find sureties to keep the peace for six months, TUTCHBN ®. WRIGHT. Claim £2 2s for rent. Judgment for defendant £1 15s and costs. JONES V. RIGG. Claim £l2 Ils, amount of dishonored cheque. Judgment confessed. JOHNSON BROS. AND WESTBUP V. KARAUBIA TE PEI. Claim £5O. Alleged damage done to sheep, the property of plaintiffs, by defendant's dog. J. W. Johnson deposed to having sustained damage to the extent of £l5O, but reduced it to £5O, so that it might De heard in the R.M.’s. Court. George Robinson, plaintiffs’ shepherd, sworn, stated that he, killed two dogs on the run belonging to defendant. He found 22 sheep killed, they were warm, and 7 others that had been ‘bitten and driven down a cliff. Judgment for £l2-10s and costs. JOHNSON BROS. AND WESTKUP V. HEMI TAKA. Claim £5O. Alleged damage done to sheep by defendant’s dog. The evidence given in this case was precisely similar to that in the preceding one and judgment entered for £l2 10s with costs.
