ROAD BOARD.
On Tuesday last the Road Board held its usual meeting at the Board office Courthouse buildings. The Chairman (Air. A. F. Hardy) laid officially before the Board the particulars of his recent, visit to Wellington, to confer with the Government on matters connected with the district, all of which have already been reported by us. Messrs. Hall and Meldrum had an interview with the Board relative Io the approaches from the Gladstone-road to the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Parnell also brought the state of Derby-street under the Board’s notice, and. Mr. Teat presented a petition relative to necessary repairs in Cliilders-street; all of which works the Engineer was instructed to examine and report on.
