Gisborne, Fbiday, 28th August. [Before W. K. Nesbitt, Esq., R.M.) MAGILL V. TAYLOR. Claim, £3, amount of 1.0. U. This case was adjourned from previous sitting to give plaintiff an opportunity of furnishing bill of particulars, which he had neglected to do. Non-suited with costs. SAUNDERS V. BIDGOOD. Plaintiff sought to recover £5, value of a cask of ale destroyed while in possession of the defendant as a carrier. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs. PARNELL V. DAWSON. Claim, £35 5s sd, goods sold. Judgment confessed. Monday, August 31. This morning three individuals named respectively, Newby, Hoggart, and Harris, were fined 25s each for drunkenness, and using obscene language in the public streets on Sunday evening.
