AUGUST. 23 —Prince Rupert, schooner, Bencke, master, from Auckland, with 40 tons coal, 70 casks and 12 tanks malt, 74 bags barley, 1 boiler, 2,000 bricks, and a quantity of brewery plant, Whitson and Co. THE"Effie Meikle put back yesterday being unable to do anything in the teeth of the gale blowing outside. Auckland, August 15. The steamer Cyphrenes arrived this morning, from Kandavau, to await the arrival of the Tartar, and convey the inward mails to Sydney. The Mikado arrived at Kandavau on the Bth, and left for Frisco on the 10th inst.

The ship Rouparelle from Auckland for .Newcastle was seen off the coast dismasted. A steamer was sent in search of her.
