Divine Service.— The Rev. J. B. Simpten will hold Divine Service at Ormond, on Sunday next at (1 p.m. ~ i ' , v Post Ofejce —A recent Geserof Government -Gazette notifies that the Poet Office at Gisborne is constituted an office of tho.secondclass. New Business. —We observe that Messrs. Boylan Brothers have entered upop the premises lately occupied by Mr. Parnell for the purpose of giving their attention mainly to the ironmongery branch of the trade. The position of their new premises is one of the best in Gisborne, and we wish them success in their new undertaking. Dramatic. —The Turanganui Dramatic Co’s next entertainment is fixed for to-morrow evening at the Music Hall. A capital programme is up for the occasion ; and the proceeds are to be handed over to the Turanga Library. Should the weather prove fine, a good house will,-doubtless, show its appreciation. Bishop Waiapv.— ;The Venerable Bishop of Waiapu was a passenger by the Rangjitira on Sunday last. Tho Bishop purposes staying in the district for the next few weeks, for the pnrposeof concluding arrangements relative to the Church building, and the appointment of a clergyman. ’ This is a matter of great satisfaction ; and we trust that members of the Church of England will lend the assistance necessary to its fiulfilment. Building Society. —The rules of this Society are now being printed; and the Secretary announces t.hlit on Monday the 27th July, an allotment of shares will take place, I that being fixed upon as the first subscription day of the Society.
