Auckland, July 3. Mb. Buckland reports fat sheep at 4d per lb; fat cattle, 25s to 32s 6d per 100 lbs; dairy cows £5 to £9 10s; shorn lambs, 9s 6d to 10s 6d each. Napier, June 25. Homewood Estate.-To-day were sold about 80 acres of bush land, in acre sections, at prices ranging from £l5 to £35. Thirtysix acres of swamp, in four sections, at £5 per acre, and 90 acres of light fem land at from £7 to £l6 per acre. This being the last of the sales of the Homewood Estate, caused a numerous gathering of settiers and others to attend. The few lots remaining unsold at auction were eagerly enquired for at the close, and sold privately at good prices.
Christchurch, July 3. Markets. —Wheat, 5s to 5s 3cl; barley, 5s 3d to 5s 6d ; oats, 4s 9d ; flour, £l2 to £l3 ; butter Is Id to Is 2d ; cheese, 7d; bacon 7d to 8d ; hams alone, ; potatoes, £4 ss. The above prices are f.o.b. at Lyttelton. Adelaide, June 27. Several cargoes of wheat hnve been taken up for the Cape of Good Hope. Wheat is qu> ted at 5s Bd. London, Jane 12. The wool sales concluded on Tuesday. Increasing firmness has been shown towards the close ofjthe scries. Port Phillip improved to March/prices. Adelaide and New Zealand greasy shares in the recovery, but Sydney washed fleece is neglected. The foreign ar-rivals-kre not so large as to depress prices. In the com market-fine qualities of Adelaide >heat fetched 64s per 4961b5. New Zealand hemp has been sold at from £lB to £l9. June 18. The Bank rate of discount has been reduced to 2J per cent. June 20. The Canadian 4 per cent, loan of four millions has beeq subscribed for nt 90. The Turkish Government has refused to ratify the contract for the Turkish loan of nineteen millions ou the terms announced. The failures are reported of Snelgrove, Mark Lane merchant, and of a Belfast linen manufacturing firm, of nearly a million. Melboubne, June 20. A telegram from Colombo reports that coffee is advancing in price, and also in the English market. A telegram from China reports that the Foo Chow market has opened at three taels higher. Two steamers were loading for the colonies. Oats are in good request ; New Zealand milling, 5s 8d ; feeding, 5s lid. New Zealand malting barley, 6s 6d to 6s 9d.
