The Opotiki, schooner, cleared yesterday for Napier, via Tologa Bay, with 50 bags grass need, 17 empty hhds., and sundries. Passenger for Tologa Bay--Mi’s. Murphy. Wk learn that. Captain Kennedy has resigned command of the Paterson, and Captain Mundic has been appointed in bis stead. The N.Z.S.S. Co.’s fine steamer Wellington arrived in the Bay yesterday morning from Napier and Wellington. It appears that she was sent up this trip specially to convey the Firing Representatives to their homes, being able to provide more accommodation than the Rangatira. To fill up her time she was placed under orders to stay here Until this morning, granting passages to and from Poverty Bay for two guineas. The Wellington will steam for Napier to-day at 4 p.m.
