METEOROLOGICAL.
February. The monotony of calm and heat which has characterized the weather during the week, has been rather boisterously interrupted. A heavy thunderstorm, with remarkably incessant and vivid lightning, and light rain, raged from 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock on Thursday evening, und early yesterday morning a heavy S.E. gale sprang up, which has cooled the temperature to a pleasing degree. The several breaks wo have had lately dispel all apprehension as to any lengthy drought now. Like our Australian neighbours, we may rather look out for floods.
