MIUNTER AND NOLAN’S REPORT. A uckland, February 5. Horses.--The supply has been a shade better with more active demand and an increased number of sales, at fully the previous weeks rates and an advance, we quote Hacks from £8 to £l2, Light Harness Horses from £l5 to £2l 15s each. Cattle. —The supply at Newmarket was much better than for some weeks, bidding was spirited throughout, and other descriptions adequate. At Pupakura there was a great increase in the number penned. There was good competition throughout, and on the whole, notwithstanding the continued dry weather, prices have an upward tendency. The beef market is without any material alteration ; prices ranging from 24s to 275. Dairy cows hold from £6 to £7 17s Gd ; yearlings from £2 5s to £3 ; weaned calves, 25s to 345: two-year-old steers, £3 15s to £4 7« 6d each. Sheep: Above the average number were penned ; competition was keen at from 2s to 2s 84 per 81b. There was a sufficient supply of lambs, prices ranging from 7s 6d to 21s. Pigs: Stores were yarded in increased numbers, but still insufficient for immediate wants. Those suitable for the butcher were not sufficiently numerous for a quotation as to price.
