Passengers for Gisborne— Messrs. Morey, Robinson, and Edwards. DEPARTURES. I FEBRUARY. <ll— Pretty dune, s.s., Captain Palmer. for Napier. Passengers—Mr. and Mrs. B.uke, and family, Messrs. Cowan, ’Cohen, Fergusson, M’Kenzie, and Sergeant-Major Bennett A.C. TBE’Pretty Jane will return from Napier on Sunday, and will steam for Auckland on Monday the loth inst. No appearance of the Southern steamer at the time of going to press. The reported loss of the Flora MdDonald on the Manukuu Bar is corroborated in latest Auckland files. All on board were drowned. The s.s. Mikado, from Dunedin, arrived at Sydney on the 27th ult. Since discharging she has been docked, and was to leave for New Zealand on Ute 3rd inst. The repairing of the s.s. Star of the South is now finished, and the steamer is, considerably improved in appearance by tile renovating she has undergone on the gridiron. Her bottom prior to the lust few days was very foul, and Captain Farquhar reported that her speed was very much interfered with from this cause. She is to sail for Levuku on the 6th inst.
