W. K. Nesbitt, Esq., R.M.; assisted by H. Potae, Esq., Native Assessor.] Read v.' Pitau. Claim £32 17s 9d. Mr. Wilson for the defendant, said, that he had attempted to come to some arrangement with plaintiff, but had not succeeded. He was therefore prepared to go on with the case; it was ultimately further adjourned. Hine Whakamaua v. Panapa WaiHOl’l AND OTHERS. Claim £5O for rent on account of Pukepapa Block. Judgment was given for her own share amounting to £l7 9s. Greene v. Hartnett. Claim for unsatisfied Promissory Note £l5 10s and expenses £1 Ils. Judgment confessed. A remanded case in which one Walters was charged with having stolen a pocketbook from a swag in the possession of a man named Hazel was dismissed from want of sufficient evidence.
