TO THE EDITOR.

Sib, —In reference to a remark made in a letter of your paper of the 22nd inst. regarding mountebanks taking money out of the Bay, we can assure the writer of those remarks that all the money received at the last performance of the mountebanks has been expended in the Bay, having the expenses of the Hall and other expenses to pay, and the mountebanks, as we are termed, although we have not had the honor of playing at any Fairs, nor yet, do I think, it is likely we shall be seen performing in front of any booths at tne forthcoming races. Having to work hard for our livelihood we think it is far better to attend to our own business and trust others will oblige by doing the same.—l am Ac., A Supposed Mountebank.
