TO THE EDITOR.

Dear Sir, —On behalf of the Bazaar Committee, I beg leave through your paper to thank those numerous friends who so willingly gave us their aid. Specially are own tnanks due to all those ladies without whom the undertaking would have failed. Truly they worked nobly and well, no praise is too great for them. I have also to present the thanks of the Committee, to the proprietors of the Music Hall for the free use of that building, three consecutive nights, to Messrs. Read and Graham for the use of their crockery and glassware, to those vocalists and instrumentalists who contributed so largely to the success of the Concert; and last, but not least, to all those who bought so willingly and readily. The success of the Bazaar has indeed surprised all, and exceeded the anticipations of everyone. It is a source of congratulation and wonder, and shews what willing hearts and hands can do. It has proved most conclusively that the people of Poverty Bay are not careless of their religious interests. Again I beg to thank all and everyone who helped us.— Yours, &c., W. Hevingham Root. Gisborne, January 10, 1874.
