A tedious monotony of heat and dust is the only thing we have to record relative to the weather during the past week, The heat and oppressive lurid glare of an almost, vertical sun acting on the sand, which still forms our streets and footpaths, and accompanied too by a calm atmosphere, has caused many to sigh for the refreshing delights of a little unsettled weather. Water is getting scarce, and the lands about the town and suburbs are rapidly changing from green to brown.
