The Governor’s yutch Blanche arrived at Wellington on the 12th inst., 135 days out from England, and 33 from King George’s Sound. Besides a couple of passengers, she brings several valuable dogs, the property of the Governor, and a quantity of furniture. She is 101 tons register, and belongs to the Royal Yacht Squadron, of which his Excellency is a member.— Guardian. The Munawutu is to take the place of the Rangatira on Tuesday next. The latter vessel having gone South. The new steam launch Bella, built for Napier, has been successfully launched at Auckland, and will be ready for sea in a fortnight. The Auckland Steam Packet Company has found it necessary to extend the floating accommodation which it at present commands between that port and the Fiji Group. The Star of the South is found to be quite out of all proportion to the trade; the Company have decided on adding to their fleet at once, and it is reported that advantage has been taken of Mr. Thomas Russell’s presence *ut home by sending him telegrams with instructions to buy one large steamer immediately, and to make further arrangements relative to securing two others.
