DEED OF CESSION COURT.
Gisborne, November 17, 1873.
[Before Mr. Commissioner Munro, (Chairman), and Mr. Commissioner Rogan.
The Court sat, pursuant to adjournment, at 11 o’clock this morning. Mr. Commissioner Munro said that a sitting of the Native Lands Court had been Gazetted, but would be adjourned from day to day until other business under the Deed of Cession had been disposed of. A list of the blocks of land before the Court was then read over, and objectors were invited to state their objections. A number of objections were entertained, all tending in the direction of adjournment. The Chairman intimated that the business of the Court must be concluded by the end of the month, and that to meet the wishes of all parties the Court would stand adjourned until to-morrow morning at 10 o’clock, when, under any circumstances, the business before it would be proceeded with.
Tuesday 18.
The Court was further adjourned to this (Wednesday) morning owing to the arrival of Mr. Hamlin and Mr. Locke.
