New Advertisements, POVERTY BAY DISTRICT HIGHWAY BOARD. “IMPOUNDING ACT, 1867.” NOTICE is hereby given, that the police have received instructions to enforce the above Act in Gisborne. Under the fourteenth and fifteenth clauses of the Act, “ any person ” permitting his cattle or horses, &c., to stray, or to be tethered, in any Highway, or public place, is liable to a penalty — in addition to impounding expenses—of FORTY SHILLINGS.
