AVGUST. 24 —Opotiki, schooner, Harris, from Napier, with miscellaneous cargo. Passengers:—Mr. Carr, and 3 others. 26—Fairy, schooner, from Auckland. Passengers : —Mr. T. Uren, and another. DEPARTURES. AUGUST. 23 —Three Brothers, ketch, for the Mahia and Napier. The Eangatira is hourly expected. The Comerang hence arfived at the Tararu Wharf, on Monday morning, the 18th inst. The Tawera left Waiapu for Auckland on Friday, the 22nd inst. It is satisfactory to learn from our Wellington files that the condemned engines of the Manawatu will be replaced by more powerful ones. The schooner Cynthia, we learn from the Wellington Independent, has been sold by Mr. Dransfield for the sum of £650, to Messrs Greenfield and Stewart, who intend to employ her in the timber trade.
