The A.S.P. Company have purchased the new steamer building in England to the order of M ssrs. Watt Brothers, and to bring out which Captain Holmes was recently sent home. Anchored outside until Wednesday ; made a raft and sent it ashore with about 3000 feet of timber. Southerly gale springing up, stood to sea until Thursday, when Captain Bennett brought up under Young Nick’s head. The weather having abated on Saturday morning (the 9th) he again came abreast of the bar, and sent another raft ashore with 3000 on board, and finally entered the river in the evening. Captain Bennett purposes sailing for Auckland to-day or to-morrow, should the weather permit.
