POST OF POVERTY BAY. High Water. July 12. — 7. 1 morning; 7.24 evening. July 13. — 746 morning; 8. 9 evening. July 14. — 8.30 morning; 8.52 evening. July 15.— 9.13 morning; 9.34 evening. ARRIVALS. JULY. 9— Opotiki, schooner, Harris master, from Napier, with miscellaneous cargo, and sundry packages ex Woodlark from London. Passengers—Messrs. Read, Goldsmith, Pritchard Munn, Porter, Kirton, Shirley, Steuart, Holloway, Benson, Mooney, Moody, Woods, Brunt.
The Opotiki is expected to return to this port about Thursday next. The Opotiki and Start both cleared at the Customs yesterday. The Opotiki will leave for Napier this evening. The Start will leave the harbor to-night to take in a cargo of pigs and maize at the Big River, and will sail thence direct to Auckland. The cutter Start, chartered by the Messrs. Boylan, brought a large miscellaneous cargo from Auckland including 150 packages of ironmongery, 8000 feet timber, and 200 sheets corrugated iron.
