Pound Tendebs. —The time for receiving Tenders for the Pound, has been extended to Saturday the 12th inst. Tendebs. —Tenders are required to be sent in not later than the 10th of July for the erection of an Hotel in Gisborne for Mr. S. C. Caulton. Captain Pobteb left by the Luna on official business with the Hon. the Native Minister. Messbs. Bubton and Wilson, accredited by the General Government for the purpose of ascertaining the probability of acquiring lands in this district from the Native owners, were passengers by the Luna on Tuesday last. They are to meet the Hon. the Defence Minister in Napier, and one or both will probably pay us another early visit on the same errand. A Pbovincial Government Gazette, of the 30th of June, contains notices that the civil and criminal sittings of the Supreme Court will be held in Napier on Wednesday, the 2nd of July, at 10 a.m.; sittings under the Bankruptcy Act on Friday, the 4th, and sittings in banco on Saturday, the sth.
