TO THE EDITOR OF THE STANDARD. Dear Sib, —On behalf of the Presbyterian Church Poverty Bay, I take this opportunity through your paper of thanking all those whose hearty co-operation and willing aid contributed so materially towards the evening’s success, especially is thanks due to the ladies. Perhaps some thought it an unintentional omission that no vote of thanks was given them the night of the Soiree. But such was not. the case, the omission was intended. Their bounteous provision, and generous help deserve more than a casual vote of thanks, and I take this means of thanking them. As several will be glad to hear how we stand financially 1 enclose the following account: —
