Gisborne Amateurs.—We understand that the Gisborne Amateurs, more familiarly known as the “ Tria Juncta in Uno ” Society, have arranged for a dramatic performance in the Music Hall on the 9th proximo. New Firm. —It will be seen by our advertizing columns that Messrs. Graham and Co. have commenced business in. Gisborne, as General Merchants, and Stock and Station Agents, in the premises lately occupied by Mr. Horsfall.
Quadrille Assembly.—The popular amusement of dancing is being subscribed to just now very heartily. We understand that the number of male members of this new social institution has reached to about 30, each of whom has a right to introduce a lady. The season of six assembles ir to commence at the Music Hall on Tuesday next the 3rd June. Ormond Garrick Club. — Another of the very successful entertainments, for which this elub is proverbial, was given at-the Ormond Theatre on Monday evening last. The pieces selected were “ The Momentous Question,” and “Boots at the Swan." The house was well filled, and the performance evidently gave great satisfaction, of which, by the way. we have received no detailed report. A dance followed which, was spiritedly kept up until 6 o’eloek the nextmorning.
Rifle Match.—The following is the score of * match fired between the Armed Constabulary and the Poverty Bay Mounted Rifle Volunteers on the 23rd instant by which it will be seen that the former were victorious by 20 points : —
