ROAD BOARD.
Saturday, 24th May, 1873. Boabp met at 2.30 o’clock. Present—Messrs. Poynter (chairman), Westrup, Johnson, and King. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Mr. Skeet reported that the part of the water, struck by the Government road at the Teruheru Stream was impracticable. The proposed line of road is far better adapted for a landing place. Tenders were received from William Hume, James Box, and Robert Craig, for cutting drain to the Waikanae, James Box’s tender was accepted at fid per cubic yard, or 14s 8d per chain. Tenders were received from F. W. Foster, H. H. Carr, W. Cohen, and W. B. Brunt, for clearing the road from Ormond to Kaitaratahi, H. H. Carr’s tender w’as accepted at 3s 6d per chain.
