RIFLE MATCH.
The following is the result of a match between gjght of the Gisborne Rifle Volunteers, and eight of the Armed Constabulary. The challenge was given by the G.R.V’s, and came off at the Gisborne range on Thursday last. The day was beautifully fine and perfectly calm. It will be seen that the civilian corps are the victors by 94 points, and we congratulate them on their success. Lieutenant Daly tops the score with a total of 64 on the Gisborne side, and Sergeant Smith 55 on the part' of the A.C.’s. The visitors were afterwards entertained by their companions ,in arms at dinner at the Albion Hotel :■>— GISBORNE RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.
