I do hereby notify that the Town and Suburban land mentioned in the above Schedule, will be offered for sale, at Auckland, by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, on Wednesday, the 28th day of May 1873, at the hour of twelve o’clock noon. WHEREAS under and by virtue of a certain Commission under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, bearing date the tenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, and directed to us, we did, on the twenty-ninth day day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, under the authority of the said commission, sit at Turanganui, in the Province of Auckland, and did make inquiry and adjudicate upon certain of the matters referred to us by the said Commission: And whereas certain other matters having reference to the said Commission, and to a certain deed bearing date the eighteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight, whereby the loyal portion of the Aitangamahaki and Rongowhakaata Tribes and the Hapu of Ngaitahupo, ceded all their lands within certain boundaries therein described to the Crown, yet remain to be enquired into and adjudicated upon : And whereas by a notification published in the New Zealand Government Gazette, number nine, bearing date the thirteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, we did give notice that wo would; under and by virtue of the powers vested in us by the said Commission, again sit for the purpose of proceeding with such inquiry and adjudication at Gisborne, at Turanganui in the Province of Auckland, on the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, at which time and place all claimants and other persons referred to in the above recited. Commission were directed to attend: And whereas owing to pressure of Public business in which we are now engaged, we shall be unable to attend for the purpose of such enquiry and adjudication at Gisborne aforesaid, on the said fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three. Now we do hereby give notice that we will, under and by virtue of the powers vested in us by the said Commission, again sit for the purpose of proceeding withh such enquiry and adjudication at Gisborne, at Turanganui, in the Province of Auckland aforesaid, on a future day of which, due notice will be given in the New Zealand Government Gazette, and all the claimants apd other persons referred to in the above Commission are requested to attend at such time and place which will be so duly notifiedJ. Peninsula • thence running straight to Te Reinga; thence along the Rakituri.River to its source in the waterdam Range, dividing the East Coast from the Bay of Plenty; thence*’ along the summit of the’said Range, that is to say, by Maungapbhatu and Miuingahannni to Tantamoe thence in the direction of the sea by Pukahikatoa, Arakihi, Wakaroa, and Rakuraku, to the sea at Turanganui ; thence along the Sea Coast to the commencing point - at Paritu.
