There is hope for the Gisborne cricketers yet: —The Tuapeka Times lately reported that the local cricket club was defunct, and the members had adopted Cray-fishing as * substitute. The Wellington Independent, of the 9th inst., says :—All doubts as to the destination of the Nebraska have been set at rest by the receipt of instructions to despatch the vessel to Honolulu and San Francisco in fulfilment of the ordinary routine of the contract terms. Mr. Von der Heyde of Auckland, who is at present in Wellington, has received a telegram, / purport of which forme the basis of the above instructions, and the Nebraska will accordingly leave Wellington with the English • mail oa Monday next.
