The schooner Opotiki will arrive from Auckland in a few days, and. will leave for Napier if inducement offers. The Comerang put back at midnight on Wednesday, after reaching Tologa Bay. She reported a heavy N.E. gale and head sea. She left again at 8 a.m. on Thursday. The Star of the South did not land either passengers or cargo yesterday morning, owing to the heavy gale and S.E. swell setting in to the Bay. The mail was with some difficulty got ashore. The Star made for the Murewai, but there was, evidently, no chance of landing there, as she steamed for Napier without attempting it.
