It was considered advisable to put the same in immediate repair and the Engineer instructed to call for tenders at once. With reference to a road being laid off from Mill bush to Brown’s point, which the Bc*rd decided to do on the 21st December Mr. Johnson moved that Mi*. Kiug do indicate to the Engineer a startipg point so ns to lay out a direct line to Brown’s point, and also a branch line froirt that road to King's paddock. The Engineer was instructed to call for tenders for clearing 30 feet wide of roadway between sections No. 2 8 4 and 5 suburban Ormond. 10 feet which is the centre to be grubbed. ' Mr. Cuff*s opinion as to constitution of Pound, and rating qf Natives in certain cases was laid on the table. Secretary was instructed to cause hand bills 1 in English and Maori, to be printed for circulation, notifying that the Assessment list for current year is ready and open for inspection, and that objections to the same will be heard on the 29th January.
