Thursday, January 2. (Before W. K. Nesbitt, Esq., R.M.) James Mcßride. —Was fined IQs. for being drunk and disorderly on the night of the 24th December. Shirley v. Ripebata Kahutia and Mereana Paraone.—For breach of Rural Police Act 1866. Mr. Drummond, Engineer to the Board, proved the obstruction offered by the latter defendant, by pulling up survey marks. Wi Paraone, also witnessed the obstruction complainded of. There being no evidence against Riperata, the information in her case was dismissed. Mereana ordered to pay a* fine of £5. Costs to be paid out of the fine. Kate Hani v. Wi Haronga.—Assault. Assault admitted, but provocation pleaded. Fined £1 and costs, or four days imprisonment' Defendant refused to pay at first, and marched to the Block-house, but at last acceded to the wishes of his friends, who paid the fine, and escorted him home. ’ Bead v. Robert Goldsmith.—Debt £22 6s. 7d. Judgment, for plaintiff. Bead y. Hirini Haereone.—Claim £6llos. For purchase of Mr. Skipworth’s house. Judgment for plantiff. Mullooly v. Hirini Tikera.—Debt £lO. Judgment for plaintiff. To be paid in one month from the 2nd January 1873. Benson v. Skillicorn and Clare.—Claim £l3 for 13 weeks rent of dwelling house and land on Matawhero B. The court held it. bad no jurisdiction. Hori Kirimana v. Te Koura.—Claim £5 the value of a horse. Judgment for plaintiff The horse to be returned or £5 and costa.
