Subscribers.*—We,have heard comn’aints from residents on the Coast, as to the irregular and nondelivery of. the -Standard. This we much regret, and take every possible precaution against 1 such contiiiginces. Once a fortnight thfey should come to hand, at least, as the maihuar; takes them ; and other opportunities we readily accept to prevent disappointment Now, that we are on this subject we beg to remind our friends that the next issue of the will copclu.de the .first quarter of its exhtence and we shall be obliged if &c. &c. &c. Desirous of keeping pace with the times and the requirements of the district, we have madefor a double issye per week to future, without any extra charge, except to coyer po'tage to distaaa., subscribers. This will entail a further expense on our part, but we rely upon an extended fupuort, which will induce us to make greater additions to our space. 'Our motto of workjjrg cheaply will be borne out by a perusal of our list ot charges which will form the basis of advertising in the columns of the Standard.
