KAKARAMEA.

Kakaramea township is about to lose ono of its prominent townsman, as Mr Rolf leaves early next week for Palmerston North, whore ho has purchased a business. He will be much missed from Kakaramea as fie has .not only been a thoroughly good and reliable trade.tmaa, but apart t ro m his business has been a most useful, prominent, and social member, having been connected with ah the local institutions. In Patea he will be 1 missed from the ranks of tho Volunteers of whichforcehe has been an energetic member for the past two years, taking great interest in the matters pertaining to the corps, and making himself in every sense an efficient volunteer, and with such eiPct, that, although a comparatively new member, he was picked iu the team to represent Kakaramea in each bayonet to unetition.
