The following is the latest betting on the Melbourne Cup : 3 to 1 against Algerian and Silver Prince, 14 to 1 Trident, 10 to 1 Dunlop. The betting for the Derby is, 4to 1 against Tran ter, 5 to 1 Australian Peer, 8 to I Niagara. OTrers unchanged. Captain Wheeler, Whakatipu, and Derwenter are scratched for the New Zealand Cup, and Kimber'ey for the Derby.
