MU' FREEMAN R. JACKPON’S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. N«'t much business lias been done during ibe past fortnight, owing to the holidays intervening. I held a small sale nl Waverley on Friday, and Miccceded in clearing off wliat stock came forward at current rates. 'Hie clearin'* sale at the Grange went off well, every lot bein'* sold at fair prices ; the attendance was large and bidding brisk. At tiie yards to-day a limited number of cattle and sbeop were entered. The sale was on the whole dull, though ibe stock were cleared at or after the auction. The land at Okotnku fell to the mortgage nt £3IOO, and is now for piivate sale. (j at tlf,_At Waverley 135 bead were Bold : Fat cows, £3 5s ; cows and calves, £iJ 16s ; yearlings, 28< ; heifer yearlings, 235. At the Grange : Steers, £3 2s; cows and calves, £2 7s ; heifers, £2 4s ; yearlings, 275. At the yards to day 117 made up the sai« ; fat rows, £4 10s ; '•nws, £2; yearling steers, _ 30<; heifers, 26' ; steers, £2 T2s to £3 15s. Sheep—At Waverley 624 fat sbeop made 10s 6d. At the Grange ; Ewes and lambs, I6s 101 ; ewe hoggets, T2s lOd ; wether hoggets, 12s 7d, all in the wool. At the yards to day 585 bead were disposed of : Fat ewes, 10s 31 ; ewes and wethers, 8s ; obi ewes and lambs, Gs 3 1. Pigs—ln good demand. Porkers, 10s to 21s, according to weight. Horses —Difficult to sell, cw n nl low rales. LONDON MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan anil Mercanti'e Agency Company have received the following telegram from their London office, dated Btb January:—The wheat market is dull. Adelaide is worth 4Gs 6d, and New Zealand 42« per 49611 m. The tallow mmkel is firm. Mutton is worth 44s 6(1, and beef 39h 6d per cwf. The leather innik.vt is firm. Beat sides are worth lOjd per lb. The New Zealand hemp market is quiet. Fiuc is worth £26 per ton.
