■ W A y E RLE Y—MONDAY. (Before C. A. Wray, Esq, R.M.) ASSUJLT. John Brown charged John Calnan \yitli assaulting him on the 291h December. It appears that (bis case arose through Brown telling some people that Calnan had stolen his wife’s ring, and that Calnan, after hearing this, had met the prosecutor and assaulted him. Defendant fined 20s and costs 9s, CIVIL CASES. Dudley v Hair.—Claim £5 4s 4d, work and labour done. Judgment for plaintiff for Is, and costs 11s. Williams v Hines,—Claim £1 Is 4d. Goods, supplied. Judgment for plaintiff by default with costs 16s. This was all the business.
