WEATHER REPORT.
(per press ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, This day. Weather forecast for 24 hours, from 9 a.m. to-day;— Wind—between northeast and north-west in both islands, but changing to between north-west and south-west at all places south of Lyttelton and Hokitika after twenty hours. Barometer—fall at all stations. Sea—heavy on western coast and between Castlepoint and Lyttelton. Warnings for gales ns above indicated and rain within 12 hours have been sent to all places south of Napier ami Now Plymouth. Synopsis of last 48 hours—northward of Napier and New Plymouth the barometer has continued rising, and it rose steadily everywhere else until Sunday afternoon. Since then it has fallen. A strong northerly gale with a good deal of rain was experienced at most places southward of Napier and New Plmouth on Saturday, but the weather was fine everywhere on Sunday.
