SUDDEN DEATH.

[per press association,] WELLINGTON, This day. A melancholy fatality occurred at 9 last night. Mr Jacob Monteith, a well known and highly respected chemist, carrying on business in the city, was supplying some medicine to a customer, when he complained of being seized with a sudden pain. He retired for a moment, and not reappearing, search was made, and he was found in the yard vomiting and in great pain. He was removed and medical aid sent for, but Mr Monteith died in a few minutes. The cause of death at present is unknown, but a poet mortem examination will he made to-day.
