WHENUAKURA - WAITOTARA ROAD BOARD.
The ordinar}' monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday, 29th inst., at Mr Fookes’s office, Waverley. Present—Messrs McDonald, Dime, Johnston and Fleming (chairman). Resolved, “ That the Chairman get a legal opinion as to back monies due to Board and other matters.” Resolved, “That the Wairoa Highway Board be requested to furnish this Board with a statement of accounts between the Boards, also to appoint a day and a deputation of their Board to meet this Board at Waverley for a settlement of accounts between the two Boards.” Resolved, ‘ ‘ That Mr Fookes be paid a salary of £ls for the office of Clerk, Collector of Rates, and use of room for meetings, and iron safe for keeping of Board’s books, the usual security to be given.” Resolved, “ That the Chairman and Messrs Brewer and Johnston be a deputation to wait on the Wairoa Highway Board re settlement of accounts.” Resolved, “That the last Saturday of each month, at 3 p.m., be the regular meeting days of the Board.” The meeting then adjourned.
